The Apostle Paul in Cairo!!!

Ok, sort of. David Lincicum drew my attention to this palimpsest from the Bodleian Cairo Genizah collection with the Pastoral Epistles in CPA (Christian Palestinian Aramaic) under this Mishnah בכורות text. I don’t have a nifty program to make arrows and stuff on my photos, so just lookunder the Mishnah text and you see the CPA text; you can see it best on the right hand side in the margin.

By the way, this is what a real manuscript looks like. Not this.

Need a PhD topic, anyone?
